Masters Message August 2017

Hello Brothers,

In June many brothers and their ladies traveled to Nashua NH to have a special communication. There we performed the Fellowcraft degree at Ancient York Lodge #89 in Nashua NH on Saturday June 24th. Wherein we recorded Brother Mitchel Thomas and Brother Rick Wilmont as worthy Fellowcraft.  The brethren in attendance were very impressed with our degree work and gave us a beautiful giant gavel to commemorate the occasion. The hope is that we will be able to return the gavel to them with a new plaque next year when they come visit us and perform a degree at Jenks Lodge. We then retired with our ladies to W:. Mike Henry's home for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship.

At our regular June communication we unanimously voted to accept the changes suggested by our By-Laws committee to our By-Laws. The meeting was well attended and all the brethren enjoyed each others company. I also feel compelled to say that the food at these meetings seems to get better and better. I think one of the best things we have done so far this year was to take Bro Robert Grudain suggestion to have his wife Holli Grudain cook the meals. It has significantly lowered our costs and has been absolutely delicious. Please remember to reserve your meal via the website or by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. We also offer annual passes where you pay for 9 of the 10 regular communication dinners up front and receive the 10th meal for free!

We will be holding a CPR class at the lodge on September 16th at 6pm. These courses usually cost 30-40 dollars per person but Jenks is offering it free to Jenks members in good standing and their significant other. You must RSVP to this event by emailing This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it., picking “yes” on the facebook event page, or calling me at 401-473-5901. An accurate count of those participating is very important. All reservations must be made by 8/26/17.

The Master Mason degree will be held at our next regular communication on Sept 25th at 7pm. I hope many brothers will be in attendance so we can give the candidates the rousing round of applause they deserve for completing the degrees.

On 10/21/17 we will have a special communication for the 2nd Annual Eldon Goldenberg Masonic Symposium. We are bringing in Worshipful Brother Patrick Craddock who is the owner and operator of the Craftsmans Apron. He will give a presentation on masonic regalia and its history in the craft.

It has been brought to my attention that many of our members who have past the 25yr mark never received a 25yr pin. We will be presenting the 25yr pins to those members at our regular communication on 10/23. If you or a member of Jenks you know has achieved 25yrs or more in the craft and never received a 25yr pin please feel free to contact me so we can present you with your pin..

As always remember that wisdom comes from contemplation. Take time to consider the awe of the world around you. Reflect on your place in the lodge, the craft, the world, the cosmos and see the many miracles that occur in our everyday lives. Be grateful of life and all that comes with it.

“What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action”- Meister Eckhart

Yours in the Craft,

Worshipful Master Stephan Saraidarian
