In June many brothers and their ladies traveled to Nashua NH to have a special communication. There we performed the Fellowcraft degree at Ancient York Lodge #89 in Nashua NH on Saturday June 24th. Wherein we recorded Brother Mitchel Thomas and Brother Rick Wilmont as worthy Fellowcraft. The brethren in attendance were very impressed with our degree work and gave us a beautiful giant gavel to commemorate the occasion. The hope is that we will be able to return the gavel to them with a new plaque next year when they come visit us and perform a degree at Jenks Lodge. We then retired with our ladies to W:. Mike Henry's home for a wonderful evening of food and fellowship.
The Master Mason degree will be held at our next regular communication on Sept 25th at 7pm. I hope many brothers will be in attendance so we can give the candidates the rousing round of applause they deserve for completing the degrees.
On 10/21/17 we will have a special communication for the 2nd Annual Eldon Goldenberg Masonic Symposium. We are bringing in Worshipful Brother Patrick Craddock who is the owner and operator of the Craftsmans Apron. He will give a presentation on masonic regalia and its history in the craft.
It has been brought to my attention that many of our members who have past the 25yr mark never received a 25yr pin. We will be presenting the 25yr pins to those members at our regular communication on 10/23. If you or a member of Jenks you know has achieved 25yrs or more in the craft and never received a 25yr pin please feel free to contact me so we can present you with your pin..
As always remember that wisdom comes from contemplation. Take time to consider the awe of the world around you. Reflect on your place in the lodge, the craft, the world, the cosmos and see the many miracles that occur in our everyday lives. Be grateful of life and all that comes with it.
“What we plant in the soil of contemplation, we shall reap in the harvest of action”- Meister Eckhart
